SUSTAINABILITY & CONSERVATION

At Vereda, our commitment is reflected in our use of sustainably and humanely sourced wild American alligator. We have taken extensive measures to uphold the environmental integrity of our daily operations.

The American alligator stands as one of the world's most sought-after luxurious materials, renowned for its natural beauty and timeless appeal. The majority of our skins are not sourced from farms, ensuring that the alligators have lived naturally and are harvested humanely for their meat, not solely for their skins.

Each Vereda piece is crafted by hand in New York City. The Vereda carbon footprint is mitigated by keeping local production within the United States from material to finished goods. Circularity is at the forefront of each production stage, with every leather scrap being salvaged and re-purposed for special projects or donated to artisan education.
